We began using these in place of N95 during the Covid 19 era after N95 became unavailable at the auto supply or big box hardware. Whether true or not, believe better than just cloth without this filter insert and are easier breathing than standard N95.

It could be a little larger as it does not fully cover both nose and mouth of an adult, as others have mentioned. Otherwise, easy to insert, no visible problems with product, no odors. Just remove and throw away before washing the mask.
